Clay in Hands Sessions

PLEASE NOTE :

These in-person workshops are on hold until late Autumn - early winter.

Turn everything off for a couple of hours & join me in my studio for a 2 hour play with clay. Soft music, incense floating & the fire on in colder months.

We will begin greeting each other and then, as a group, take 3 deep breaths with clay in our hands.

This is a time for slowing down, creating,

giggles & endless cups of tea.

You will hand make

2-3 pieces of treasure (of your choice) for your home

Ideas for you :

special mug

bowl

candle holder

vase

dish

soap dish

Please let your imagination go wild .

I do recommend beginning with a pinch pot mug or bowl if you haven’t worked with clay before . But , it’s absolutely up to you .

I will have snacks for you (please let me know of dietary requirements) I usually have a biodynamic vegan date and walnut loaf , vegan chocolate & gluten free crackers/dip and olives.

Cost : $140 pp - payments can be made in cash on the day or via bank transfer before the day .

Please allow 6-8 weeks to receive your finished glazed pieces. Pottery is a slow process. Drying takes up to 2 weeks , they will then get bisque-fired, then glazed and then go in the kiln again for another firing.
